Let’s rally together against the virus

In these challenging times, it’s nice to see Canadians coming together to help one another. Former hockey player and current Assistant Director of Player Development to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Hayley Wickenheiser, has been spending her time supporting front-line workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

She partnered with Conquer COVID-19, a volunteer organization focused on providing frontline workers with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to care for those affected by the Coronavirus. Together, they organized a PPE drive to collect masks, gloves, sanitizer, and other essential supplies needed by essential workers.

The Eastern Avenue XYZ Storage facility in Toronto has kindly offered their space for Hayley and the other Conquer COVID-19 volunteers to conduct the PPE drive. The drive received a great amount of support from Ontario’s Premier Doug Ford, Hollywood actors like Ryan Reynolds, companies like Canadian Tire, and of course, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With their efforts, the PPE collected was successfully donated to frontline workers and to those most at-risk. We commend all of these volunteers for their efforts and we thank them for everything they have done.

We are proud of the role one our customers is taking in supporting such a great cause. We would like to take this opportunity to raise awareness and promote their initiative. If you would like to support the cause, you can drop off donations at the XYZ Storage facility located at 459 Eastern Avenue in Toronto or you can visit the Conquer COVID-19 website for more ways to help.
