It was only a few months ago that we moved to a new, larger facility in Toronto, Ontario and now we are growing again. This time around, we are opening up our very own, brand new yard in Edmonton, Alberta.

Because our shipping containers can be used for many different purposes, we cater to our customers’ needs by offering them a choice: they can buy their shipping containers or they can rent them. For some of our clients, this is a very important decision and we want to make it easier! To help everybody understand what’s involved in making each of these two choices, we recently wrote a blog article to discuss the advantages of renting a shipping container. Now, we are writing this article to discuss the advantages of purchasing a shipping container.

You might not know it, but shipping containers come in all shapes and sizes. Well, maybe not all shapes, but the umbrella term covers a few types of containers. Some come with only minor differences like different types of doors and features but some are much more distinct.

We spend a lot of time on social media showing all the possible applications and unique features of our shipping containers. The container itself measures 40’ in length and 9’6” in height and can carry a payload of just over 40,000 lbs. It features 16 weatherproof vents that ventilate the entirety of the container to reduce moisture and prevent condensation from forming. The vents are strategically placed to allow air to flow throughout the container even if partitions are made inside it to create separate storage.

Our team of certified welders cut open the container side walls and reinforce the openings with steel tubing. The reinforcement process ensures the structural integrity of the shipping container and makes installation on any side of the container easy. Once the structural mods are completed, we install the roll-up and color match the paint.
