Rent a
10ft Shipping Container
A 10ft container gives you secure, ground-level storage on the smallest footprint we rent. It fits where a 20ft won't: tight urban lots, single parking stalls, the back corner of a busy job site. And it's ready to lock up the day it lands.
Rent one for a season or hold it year-round. ATS delivers 10ft rental containers from depots across Canada, and our team handles the placement so all you do is load it.

What Is a 10ft Shipping Container Rental?
A 10ft shipping container rental is a steel storage unit roughly 10 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 feet 6 inches tall, delivered to your site and rented by the month. It’s the most compact secure storage ATS offers: about 72 square feet of floor space, wind- and watertight, with cam-locking steel doors at ground level.
Ten-foot units are built by cutting down a 20ft container and rebuilding the end wall, which is why the fleet is smaller and why availability moves fast in peak season. Reserve early if you need one for spring or summer.

Practically, that’s about four standard pallets on the floor, a full set of trades tools and materials, or the seasonal stock a retailer needs out of the back room. It also drops into a single parking space, which is why property managers and downtown contractors ask for it by name.
Why Businesses Rent the 10ft Size
Access: The 10ft fits sites a 20ft can’t reach: laneways, tight commercial lots, fenced compounds with a single gate.
Cost: You pay for the space you use. If you’re storing tools and consumables rather than pallets of inventory, the 10ft is the efficient call.
Speed: Smaller unit, simpler placement. Most 10ft deliveries need less staging room than a full-size drop.
Security: Same 14-gauge corrugated steel, same cam-locking doors, same lockbox as our larger units. Compact doesn’t mean lighter-duty.
Who Rents 10ft Containers
- Construction and trades: tool cribs and consumables storage on sites with no room for a 20ft
- Retail and hospitality: seasonal stock, patio furniture, event supplies between uses
- Auto shops and dealerships: parts, tires and shop overflow
- Schools, clubs and municipalities: sports equipment, grounds gear, maintenance supplies
- Farms and rural operations: secure storage for tools and inputs at outbuildings and remote paddocks
- Property management: on-site storage during a building program without giving up tenant parking

Rental Terms and Delivery
Rent by the month, short-term or long-term. Most of our rental accounts start with a single unit for one project and keep it, or add to it, once they see how it works on site.
For delivery, you’ll want reasonably level, firm ground and a clear approach for the truck. A tilt-and-load delivery needs roughly 60 feet of straight clearance for a 10ft unit and about 14 feet of overhead clearance. Gravel, compacted dirt and asphalt all work. Our dispatcher will walk your site details with you when you book.
Rates depend on your rental term, your distance from the nearest ATS depot, and any modifications you need. Request a rental quote and we’ll price your exact situation. Or call, and we’ll do it on the phone.
