The Reseau Express Metropolitan, in short REM, is a public transit project currently being built in the Greater Montreal area that has its sights set on changing the way people travel. The new transit system will be entirely electric and automated, cutting down travel times and contributing to Canada’s reduction in the usage of fossil fuels. Once completed, it will have 26 functioning stations throughout the city, and it will connect to the public metro system and to the airport. The project not only makes travel within the city more convenient, but it is expected to decrease the number of cars on the road, thus reducing congestion. The stations will open on a roll-out basis, beginning in 2022.
We are proud to have be involved in this project from the beginning, supplying the builders with the storage solutions they need. Our fleet of 10’, 20’ and 40’ rental containers has been used to store tools, building materials and other pieces of equipment since construction began. These containers have been chosen because they provide ample storage space and they offer the secure storage that is needed for large-scale development projects.
Our lineup of rental containers is constantly growing, offering our clients more options at even more convenient prices. We currently have 10, 20 and 40 foot shipping containers available, as well as specialty units such as open side and insulated units and sea cans with roll up doors. More recently, we also added 20’ and 40’ refrigerated (reefer) containers which have been highly sought after since the roll-out of the vaccine program in Canada. These reefer units have been used for storing the supply of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines that Canada has been receiving.
